Where Do I Get More Time?

I could sure use more time in the day. What about you? When I figure out how to do that I will let you know.

Lately I have been feeling a little frazzled. I am working five days a week, in the evening. I have two girls who go to school. One is in grade 1 and the other is in JK, so I don't see my children very… Continue

I started the day off well - up and rocking at 6 a.m. Kids and I were at the store shopping at 7:30 a.m. and back home by 9:00. Laundry was going, dishwasher was humming along and life was beautiful...until about nap time. Then, my body started to rebel! By tonight, I was walking like an 85-year-old retired bull rider that went to many go-rounds with a Champion bull named "Fat Jimmy." You know the one I'm talking about, you've seen ESPN a time or two.

My husband says that when you've been "bit… Continue

I still a little tired from yesterday but I had a fabulous nights sleep. I was surprised that there were no little kids trying to get me up at 5AM but it didn't happen.

I had a great session with Dr. Loretta last night. She is wonderful and soooo easy to talk to. I was able to let go of some things that I had been holding on to for way too long. She made it easy to just let it go and not feel guilty about doing it. I feel cleansed (metaphorically speaking, not that other kind of cleansing altho… Continue

Today was a big day for me! Everyone has heard of the "bucket list" or something similar right? @kmnoon, one of my biggest supporters, convinced me a year ago that I needed to add a 5k/10k to my bucket list. I told her she was crazy. A few months back we started the "Make a Life Club" at our office. It is a group of a co-workers that meet to set goals and work together to meet them. Well, I made it my long term goal to run a marathon. As practice, I entered a race this weekend to just get a feel… Continue

Big day today! My six-year-old's Cub Scout pack took a trip to a local dairy farm. I tried and I tried but they would not let me milk a cow. They did offer to let me clean up after the cows though. Um...no.

Afterward my sisters three children came over to spend the night and it was total mayhem as usual. They had a sleepover in the living room. A water gun fight in the kitchen (not parent approved) and drank the two gallons of milk that I had just purchased. My house may never be the same.… Continue

I have been having trouble with fruit lately. As soon as I would take a few bites of bananas or apples - my mouth gets these little cuts and canker sores instantly. It has been the craziest thing. Leah recommended I emailed Dr. Renna and her response was that I was having an allergic reaction. I am going to try peeling my apples or cooking the fruits. Who else has this problem?

Here's a look at today's meal and exercise plan:

Breakfast:
Low cal yogurt
Water

Snack: 10:30
Apple

Second night of listening to Dr. Loretta's CD's all night long. I did not wake up nearly as much as I usually do. There is something about her voice. I got a full five hours of sleep which almost never happens. Kids are always coming in and waking me up.

Today was a jam packed day and I am trying to wind down a little. Working all morning. Meeting with my boss at 1PM. Pick up the kids from school. Head to Chick Fil-A to do some more work with their free Wi-Fi while the kids play. On to Bingo Ni… Continue

I am definitely not getting enough sleep at night. And, I am sure that I read somewhere that you don't effectively lose weight if you aren't sleeping well. Work projects, volunteer projects and a sick baby have literally kept me awake and I am feeling it greatly this week. My goal for the weekend is to sleep more hours through the night.

Here's a look at today's meal and exercise plan:

Breakfast:
Low cal yogurt
Apple

Too Many Treats?

First, I hope you had a wonderfully fun Halloween and that your kids enjoyed dressing up and seeing all of their friends in costume. Now that the excitement has settled, you may be faced with a huge pile of candy and wondering what to do with it. Maybe you are thinking, "They're kids,… Continue
