Food and Exercise Journal - Day 14 {2/4/10}

Another cardio day! As I said on Twitter, they make me want to puke, but my heart says THANK YOU! :-) My steps were at 10,058. I'm supposed to get my treadmill between 2 and 6 on Friday, so can't wait for that! Lisa and I have decided we're complete opposites, because she totally digs the Taebo workouts, and I totally dig the Tracey Mallett workouts. :-) So you're getting both sides of the story this way! :-)

Healthy eating (yes, even on the weekend!)

The weekend is a time for rest, relaxation, and spending time with our families. For some that time of relaxation can extend to our diets and we are tempted to let the old habits of bad eating back into our life. While it is easier to maintain a healthy diet during the work week, we shouldn’t let Friday night, Saturday, and Sun… Continue

Food and Exercise Journal: February 4, 2010

Sometimes life happens. Take today for example: I was supposed to come home and do my EA Sports Active, but bills had to be paid and instead I went to H & R block to file my taxes. I'm getting a refund, by the way. I want to buy myself something nice if when I make my next goal. Please give me some ideas of what I should buy for myself.

Food Journal – Day 13 (2/3/10)

Today I accidentally reset my pedometer, so I'm not sure how many steps I had. I was at 2,000 at some point, and then looked down later in the day, and it was on 0. Oops! Might have to change where I'm wearing it.

So today was my lovely French toast day (always a fave) :-), and I took my "free meal." I'm excited about having the next 4 days off from school, AND did I mention my treadmill comes on Friday?!!!!! I think Lisa's comes on Friday, too, so we'll be oohing and aahing all over Twitter. W… Continue

Food and Exercise Journal: February 3, 2010 A New Day

Hubby said "Thanks" for all the well-wishing! He is doing great (I think) - he has been asleep since we got home at noon. So my day started a bit before 5am and we were at the hospital by 7am. I was totally exhausted. I brought an orange with me and ate at the hospital cafeteria for breakfast since I didn't have time to eat before I left. I knew that Wednesday was my "off" exercise day, but sine Mon/Tues were so lackluster I was determined to at least get my steps in!

Easy Shrimp Tacos

This week I was all about shrimp tacos. I actually made them three times because I had tons of leftovers and they were really easy to make. I could have gone crazy with toppings, but I decided to keep it pretty simple to save money and cut down on preparation time. Here's my recipe for two people if you'd like… Continue
